Body Language Analysis No. 4273: Natalia Veselnitskaya and The Trump Tower Meeting - "I am an Informant" - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

In a recent interview with NBC's Richard Engel, Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian Attorney who was a key participant in the 9 June 2016 Trump Tower meeting - said of her relationship with the Kremlin's Prosecutor General, Yuri Chaika, "I am an attorney and I am an informant".

Ms. Veselnitskaya is, therefore, working with the Russian government - an act which she previously denied. Last November she went on record to the US Senate Judiciary Committee, stating, “I operate independently of any governmental bodies,” - as well as, “I have no relationship with Mr. Chaika, his representatives and his institutions other than those related to my professional functions as a lawyer.”

In new emails disclosed by Dossier, an organization set up by Mikhail Khodorkovsky - who's an opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin - show that Veselnitskaya was working the Kremlin's Prosecutor General, Yuri Y. Chaika (the Russian equivalent of the US Attorney General) to interfere with an investigation by the US Department of Justice into the business holdings of a powerful Russian businessman (Denis P. Katsyv).

Yet prior to her admission of being "an informant", Ms. Veselnitskaya showed her proverbial cards. What follows is a partial nonverbal analysis of a crucial portion of her interview.

During 4:51, Ms. Veselnitskaya displays a classic display of Disgust.

Although eyelid closure is not a required component of an expression of disgust - in this setting it serves as a disgust amplifier.

Notice too that Ms. Veselnitskaya's is blushing on her upper chest. Blushing is completely involuntary - and thus cannot be suppressed.

If you have a tendency to blush in this region (which is often independent of facial blushing), it's wise to wear clothing which covers it - when you're involved in significant negotiations, public appearances, or interviews.

During 4:52, Ms. Veselnitskaya displays an excellent example of what is known as an Asymmetrical Blink. An asymmetrical blink is NOT synonymous with a wink - rather it's a blinking (if only for an instant) with only one eye. This example comes at the beginning of an eye roll (see below).

Asymmetrical Blinking is a nonverbal signal indicative of the thought-emotions of:

• Sarcasm
• Contempt
• Pretentiousness
Feigned Disbelief

A split-second later we immediately see an Eye Roll - which Indicates:

• Contempt
• Impatient Dismissal

(Note her mouth and mid-facial region continues to project disgust)

A second later (4:53) we see a second Asymmetrical Blink.

Summary: Along with the emotions of Sarcasm, Contempt, and Pretentiousness - an Asymmetrical Blink is a dead giveaway for the thought-emotion of Feigned Disbelief. When you see this nonverbal signal - always ask yourself, "Why is this person trying so hard to convince me?"

... or in the words of William Shakespeare, "The Lady doth protest too much, methinks".

Body Language Analysis No. 4272: Kim Jong-un and Moon Jae-in Holding Hands - Alpha and Beta - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (VIDEOS, PHOTOS)

On Friday, Kim Jong-un became the first North Korean Supreme Leader to enter into South Korea since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

Near the end of their historic Summit, Kim Jong-un and Moon Jae-in held hands. This is shown in the video above (during 0:00 - 0:15), as well as in the first photo.

Notice Moon Jae-in (on our right) - with his arm is in front of Kim Jong-un's. This places Moon (the South Korean President) in the relative alpha position and Kim as the relative beta.

Remember - in this moment, the two men are standing on South Korean soil.

Now flashback to earlier in the day - when Kim Jong-un first walked into South Korea - and then he asked President Moon to step briefly into North Korea.

In that scenario, Kim-Jong-un took the lead by verbally asking Moon (Moon was not expecting this) - and in this case, Kim's body language was in the alpha position (during 1:12 - 1:16 in the second video).

Although most of this summit was highly choreographed - these two acts were subconsciously driven.

Summary: During hand-holding, a strong clue as to who - in that moment - feels more alpha is indicated by whose hand is in front.

Body Language Analysis No. 4271: Donald Trump's Hand Holding While Pulling of Emmanuel Macron - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (PHOTOS)

One of the more unusual moments of Emmanuel Macron's State Visit occurred on Tuesday as Donald Trump held the French President's hand - while pulling him along outside the West Wing of the White House.

It will come as a surprise to many Americans that it's commonplace in many countries for men - who are platonic friends - to hold hands with other men in public.

It's a sign of mutual respect when a Saudi man holds another man's hand - side by side - in public. In this second image, George W. Bush is seen strolling on his Texas ranch holding hands with Saudi King Abdullah in 2005.

In a similar manner to President Trump, Chris Brown pulled Rihanna along as they left the Staples Center after a Lakers game (Christmas Day 2012). Brown routinely displayed this behavior with her. Recall that Chris Brown has a well-documented history of physical abusing Rihanna.

Summary: Donald Trump's hand holding while pulling Emmanuel Macron was profoundly patronizing and insulting nonverbal behavior intended to belittle, embarrass, and exert dominance over the French President and is commonly displayed by Malignant Narcissists. It's critical to note just how contradictory Trump's body language is compared with his verbal language (filled with high praise and expressions of friendship) toward Macron. Whenever the nonverbal and the verbal behavior differ - it's the nonverbal signs which always tell the truth.

This dynamic of Hand-Holding-While-Pulling-Along-One's-Partner also carries with it two additional ominous warnings - for it not only signals a man who has a strong predilection for objectifying his partner (e.g., NOT perceiving them as an equal human being - but as an object to be used and discarded), - but it also is a red flag for a man with a tendency toward violence rather than diplomacy.

Body Language Analysis No. 4270: Donald Trump Brushes Dandruff off Emmanuel Macron - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (VIDEO, PHOTO)

Donald Trump is hosting Emmanuel Macron in the first State visit of the American's President's Administration. On Tuesday, while with his French counterpart, President Trump displayed multiple nonverbal faux pas - one of which is analyzed here.

Beginning at 0:00, President Trump says, "Mr. President, they're all saying what a great relationship we have and they're actually correct, it's not fake news - finally it's not fake news - so, it's a great honor - great honor that you're here. But we do have a very special relationship - in fact, I'll get that little piece of dandruff off [mumble, laugh] little piece - We have to make him perfect. He is perfect. So it is really, ah - it is really great to be with you and you are a special friend. Thank you. Thank you."

During 0:16 - 0:18, President Trump brushes an alleged piece of dandruff off of Macon's left lapel - three times with his right index finger - and then his with the rest of his hand off of his left shoulder - and follows it up with a touch on Macron's left elbow (0:20).

This short display is rife with body language blunders - and messages.

• The act of brushing dandruff, lint, dirt, etc. off another person is called "grooming" - and the vast majority of the time, such an act between adults (non-relatives) signals affection and/or physical attraction. This is particularly true when this violation of personal/intimate space is performed without permission - which is exactly what Trump did here.

Yet, it's not that simple ...

• It's highly doubtfully there was dandruff on Macron. Trump most likely fabricated this flaw in order to rationalize violating the French President's personal/intimate space.

• If there truly was dandruff on Macron's lapel, why call attention to it? Even if you were alone with another person - doing so would very often be ill-advised. And this act is particularly true - with a Head of State - in the Oval Office - in front of reporters - on live television.

So why did President Trump do this?

• To verbally embarrass Macron
• To physically violate Macron's personal space/intimate space
• To exert dominance over him
• It's a symptom of Narcissistic Personality Disorder

But most importantly:

• This violation of Emmanuel Macron's personal/intimate space, in large measure, is yet another manifestation of Donald Trump's Impulse Control Disorder. Although in this example it's not sexually-motivated, this behavior is very similar to what then Candidate Trump exemplified when, captured on the Access Hollywood tape, he said:

"I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything."

Summary: While such a public display of grooming is typically a sign of affection and/or sexual attraction - whether the dandruff was fictitious or real, Donald Trump's grooming of Emmanuel Macron was motivated by Trump's desire to embarrass, dominate, and belittle him. The American feels threatened by the French leader. It's also indicative of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Although some people may find Trump's action amusing, it's of profound importance - for this violation of Macron's personal/intimate space is one more glaring symptom of Trump's impulse control disorder.

Body Language Analysis No. 4269: Michael Cohen and the Joker Smile - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (PHOTO)

This image captures Michael Cohen during one of his Default Expressions. His "smile" in this moment is INSINCERE. More specifically this is a "JOKER smile" - named after the character from the original Batman comics.

Notice Cohen's forehead - it's contracted and elevated across its entire width - while the forehead of a person with a true smile of Joy-Happiness is always relaxed.

Coordinated with his elevated forehead are his elevated eyebrows. This brow dynamic is also a mark of insincerity.

However, his upper eyelids are lowered. More specifically, they are passively closed - with a droopy appearance. Crucially, when the eyelids are moving in the opposite direction than the adjacent forehead tissue - it's unnatural - a red flag for feigned emotions. Sincere (Duchenne) smiles ALWAYS require partially closed eyelids - but they do NOT close in this manner. With True smiles - the eyelids are actively closed - and they don't have this passive/droopy appearance.

Now study the President Trump's attorney-fixer's mouth...

A Sincere smile does NOT display the teeth on the bottom - only the top (with the exceptions being at the beginning or end of true laughter [sincere laughter DOES reveal the lower teeth], a head tilted downward, and/or a superior camera angle.

The corners of his mouth are upturned - as we would expect with a sincere smile - but there is also significant lateral vectoring. Here, again, adjacent tissues are working against each other (another red flag) - simultaneously pulling the mouth both sideways and up

The tug-o-war of facial muscle near Cohen's mouth results in significant exposure of his lower teeth - and importantly, more so that his upper teeth - and thus resulting in the JOKER SMILE.

Summary: Michael Cohen commonly displays this particular variety of Feigned Smile - known as the JOKER SMILE. It's common and it's insincere. Whenever you see this expression on the street, in business, or in your personal life - be warned. Protect your flank.

Body Language Analysis No. 4268: Benedict Cumberbatch, Schadenfreude, and The Grinch - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

During his recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Benedict Cumberbatch inadvertently demonstrated how difficult it can be to successfully tell a lie - even in a well-trained paid profession.

GRAHAM NORTON (beginning at 0:00): You say you're good at keeping plots secrets 'n things, but you were a bit loose-lipped about the plot for Star Trek.

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH: [Lip smack] To one, one person - yeah, who I thought deserved to know - and that was Stephen Hawking. Ahum, we were - into our third margarita I think - and - I decided to tell him - and he literally, apart from the agents who told me the news - and the people who were employing me were the only people who were supposed to know [deep inhale] so - yeah I told him.

GRAHAM NORTON: Wow. Did he tell anyone else?

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH: Ω Not as far as I'm aware ,

During 0:28 ( ), just after Cumberbatch says, "Not as far as I'm aware" - he displays a specific variation of a suppressed smile (e.g., Duping Delight) known as a Schadenfreude Smile.

This phenomenon is called "Duping Delight", because the person is taking true joy in the thought that he is duping (fooling) his audience.

Here, the Schadenfreude Smile is hyperbolically expressed in the classic, 1966 animation - and has thus also has been come to be Known as The Grinch Smile (named for the diabolical version of the Dr. Seuss character).

Perhaps Cumberbatch was channeling the character in whom he plays the starring role in the upcoming 2018 rendition of The Grinch.

Despite the fact that Benedict Cumberbatch is an extremely skilled and accomplished actor - his attempt at suppressing his delight fails - lasting less than a second before he breaks into laughter (during 0:29, ).

Note that while sincere smiling does NOT show bottom teeth - fully expressed sincere laughter does indeed reveal them.

If we go back just a bit to the 0:25 mark, just prior to Mr. Cumberbatch saying, "... I told him", we see the actor displaying another, less obvious suppressed smile ( ).

During 0:28, Just after Graham Norton asks, "Did he tell anyone else?", Cumberbatch also looks up to his left ( Ω ).

Upon being asked a question about a past event, when a right-handed person looks up to their left - they are visually recalling a specific memory (Cumberbatch is right-hand dominant). Thus, while not 100% definitive, in this context, this dynamic is highly suggestive of a distinct act of Hawking's - wherein the Physicist DID TELL, in fact, someone else the Star Trek plot.

Summary: Taken in toto - Benedict Cumberbatch's cluster of nonverbal behavior in this brief clip - indicates that the actor is lying when he claimed Stephen Hawking kept his secret of the plot to Star Trek.

Despite being an outstanding actor - when he's lying in off-screen scenarios, (when Benedict is just being Benedict - not "in character") - he's no better at suppressing his body language during deception than most anyone on the street. The same truth would hold even if he had ten Oscars to his credit.

Body Language Analysis No. 4267: Donald Trump and Pretending to Pray - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (PHOTOS)

The image above (cropped, close-up below) was taken on 21 September 2016 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. In this moment, Mike Pence and Donald Trump were supposed to be praying. They were attending The Midwest Vision and Values Pastors and Leadership Conference. I say, "supposed to" because Donald Trump was absolutely not praying - and we can say this with 100% certainty.

The two emotions Donald Trump is expressing here are:

• Contempt
• Anger

Now, while it's absolutely possible for a person can be angry at God (e.g., Why did you take the life of my child?) - it's impossible for a human being to have contempt toward God. Why?

Contempt is actually a mixture of both Anger and Disgust - and fundamentally, experiencing contempt also involves the emotional context of placing oneself above another person or a group (or putting them below you). Thus when you feel Contempt - you are subordinating the other person or group. Because God, by definition, is the ultimate superior being - one cannot feel contempt toward God.

And make no mistake, Donald Trump has a significant element of Contempt on his face, therefore - he must not be praying to any being he deems superior.

The further a person is from their emotional baseline, the less self-aware they become as to how, exactly, they appear to others. This progressively diminished objectivity holds true whether the emotions are positive or negative. This phenomenon, at least in part, explains why then-candidate Trump behaved in a manner such that he did not care if people knew he was not praying.

Although not required for contempt - in this scenario, Donald Trump's "Side Eye" amplifies this emotion. We do not look directly at someone who we:

• Don't Like
• Don't Respect
• Don't agree with

Summary: In this moment, Donald Trump was not praying - he was pretending to pray. Rather, Trump was feeling contempt. Because Contempt involves putting oneself above another person (or them below you) - we know with absolute certainty he was not thinking, meditating, or praying to any being he thought to be superior. Moreover, as Contempt (or any strong emotion) facilitates diminished self-awareness, it contributed to his lack of caring that others saw him in this moment of feigning.

Body Language Analysis No. 4265: Donald Trump regarding Mike Pompeo's Chances of Being Confirmed as Secretary of State - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

On Wednesday 18 April, President Trump continued trying to publicly sway Rand Paul into voting for the confirmation of Mike Pompeo for Secretary of State. Rand Paul, the junior senator from Kentucky - is a Republican (although libertarian-minded) and is on-record, openly opposing Pompeo for this position.

What follows is a partial nonverbal analysis of the video above.

President Trump (beginning at 0:04): I think ah - I think Mike Pompeo is - extraordinary. He was number one at West Point. He was top at Harvard. Ah - he's a great gentleman. Ah, I think he'll go down as truly a great Secretary of State. I will say this about Rand Paul  - he's never let me down. Rand Paul - is a very special guy, as far as I'm concerned - he's never let me down. And Ω I don't think he'll let us down again. So, let's see what happens. If you remember, he voted for healthcare - annnd he did us a big favor - it was somebody else that voted against it - that hurt us...

In this moment (0:22), acting Secretary of State - John J. Sullivan initiates this nose rub/eye rub display just after President Trump says, "... I will say this about Rand Paul ..."

By far, the most common reason we touch our faces' is anxiety. There's no doubt Acting Secretary Sullivan's face was itching - but the reason it was itching was (secondary to the release of a neurotransmitter known as 'Natriuretic Polypeptide b' [Nppb]) due to his anxiety regarding his anticipation of what the President was about to say regarding Rand Paul.

More specifically, when a person performs such a nose rub/nose scratch/eyelid rub in this context (listening to a person make a declarative statement in a meeting/conversation), there's a very high probability that they believe they're detecting deception (e.g., that John Sullivan does not believe Donald Trump).

This next image - from 0:23 - shows Mike Pence displaying a One-Sided Smile - while the opposite corner of his mouth is down-turned. Such an Asymmetric Smile projects a Duplicitous emotional tone.

In addition, the left side of Pence's mid-face is also projecting Contempt.

Throughout much of this video - and indeed most all of his public appearances, Vice President Pence is in this near-constant expression of his (such behavior is often referred to as a "Living Mask").

Notice at this same moment that Larry Kudlow is unable to hold still - simultaneously readjusting himself in his chair - lifting his butt off the chair (literally known as a "Butt Adjustment"). We've all done this at meetings during moments anxiety - which is exactly what the Director of the National Economic Council is experiencing. He believes the President just told a lie.

During 0:24, as Larry Kudlow flips the distal portion of his necktie in this example of a MAP surrogate (Manipulator, Adaptor, Pacifier) - he shows us another classic display of anxiety. More specifically, this telegraphs a need for - and an attempt at - Alpha Up-regulation. This Tie-Flipping dynamic is seen primarily in men who already have alpha personalities - but who find themselves in beta moments.

A useful metaphor here is to think of this as a signal of emotionally 'stepping up to the plate' - trying to summon one's courage during mini-moments of sudden anxiety.

During 0:26 - 0:32, Mr. Kudlow then displays a more common variation on this same theme - he's feeling the need for Dialing-up His Alpha Emotions. Here Kudlow shows an example of the False Tie Adjustment. Because this anatomically higher, involving the knot of the tie - it's a substitute for rubbing and/or grabbing the neck - and, correspondingly, represents an even higher level of Anxiety.

During 0:36 - 0:37, we see John Bolton adjusting his glasses. Why did the National Security Advisor feel the need to perform this maneuver at this moment? While it's also an anxiety display - this nonverbal signal is a surrogate for an eye rub. Mr. Bolton does not believe the President's (feigned) public optimism regarding Rand Paul voting for Mike Pompeo's confirmation.

Now go back a moment to 0:30, just before President Trump says, "... I don't think he'll let us down again ..." - he makes this classic facial expression of Sarcastic Regret/Sarcastic Doubt (notated above with the Ω symbol).

Summary: President Trump, John Sullivan, John Bolton, and Larry Kudlow all have strong doubts/disbelief that Mike Pompeo will receive Rand Paul's vote for confirmation as Secretary of State.

In this video, however, we can't make this same conclusion with respect to the Vice President - as Mike Pence is 'wearing' one of his near-constant 'Living Masks'.

Body Language Analysis No. 4264: Criminal Profiling • Sketch of Man Who Allegedly Threatened Stormy Daniels (Stephanie Clifford) Over Her Affair with Donald Trump - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (Sketch)

In 2011, Stormy Daniels (Stephanie Clifford) was allegedly threatened by a man in a parking lot in Las Vegas, Nevada while she had her young daughter with her.

In a recent 60 minutes interview, Ms. Daniels recounted, "And a guy walked up on me and said to me, 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.' And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom.' And then he was gone."

The above sketch was drawn by Lois Gibson based on Stormy Daniels' description. Ms. Gibson is one of the most skilled forensic artists in the World - and indeed, she holds the Guinness World Record for the most identifications.

As noted in the margin of drawing, Stormy Daniels described these characteristics:

• Caucasian Male
• 30s to early 40s
• 5'9" - 6'0"
• Lean but fit

Noteworthy physical characteristics in the sketch:

• Lighter colored eyes (irises)
• Prominent brow/moderately deep-set eyes
• Eyes are mild-moderately wider apart than average in relation to his face
• Longish hair/combed back/no part
• Prominent Philtrum (colloquially termed 'Cupid's bow') - it's also mildly asymmetrical
• Nose is slightly displaced toward his right side (probable old trauma)
• Prominent cheekbones - this feature would be less prominent
if he's gained a modest amount of weight
• Prominent mid-face/mouth area - this gives the false appearance
of dynamically protruding/pursing lips when his mouth/lips are at rest
• Jaw is prominent - protrudes forward significantly
• Jaw is asymmetrical - more prominent on his left (probable reason why his left ear is drawn lower)
• Note there is no cleft in his chin
• Although it's not drawn here, there's a high probability he has a
  Prominent Adam's Apple (laryngeal prominence)

Inferred characteristics:

I would highly recommend that this sketch be distributed to cosmetologists and throughout cosmetology professional organizations - as these individuals are highly observant with details of facial structure/facial idiosyncrasies - and, importantly, they also see their clientèle frequently. It would be wise to permanently institute such an ID methodology between cosmetology organizations and local police forces/FBI.

Per Michael Avenatti (Ms. Daniels attorney), there is currently a $131,000 reward for information leading to the positive identification of the man who threatened Ms. Clifford in Las Vegas.

Mr. Avenatti is asking that all leads be sent to idthethug@gmail.com

Body Language Analysis No. 4263: Kellyanne Conway regarding James Comey's Interview - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Earlier today, Kellyanne Conway, Counselor to President Trump was interviewed by Chris Cuomo regarding James Comey's interview last night on 20/20. What follows is a partial nonverbal analysis of a crucial portion of that interview.

KELLYANNE CONWAY (continuing at 2:58): ... Ah, No, the Democrats are mad at Comey for lots of reasons, I mean they, they blame him for her loss - I lo- I saw, I saw Comey last night, and I said, 'This guy swung an election? I [feigned stammering] don't think so!' I mean [slurred] definitely took away from that - he struggled to even answer basic questions. He also admitted Ω that he as FBI director - injected partisan politics and, and his belief that, that person who lost the [stutter] election who should have won Chris...

Just after she said, "... He also admitted ...", Ms. Conway displays a Loose Tongue Jut (during 3:14, and notated by the Ω symbol). A loose tongue jut (not to be confused with a tight tongue jut or a wide open tongue jut) is a classic nonverbal display indicating the thought-emotions of:

• I've been bad
• I got caught
• I've just done a stupid thing

Note that simultaneously Ms. Conway displays a prolonged blink - which, although not required in this context, when clustered with a Loose Tongue Jut, this blocking phenomenon serves as an amplifier for these same feelings.

Summary: Kellyanne Conway's nonverbal behavior displayed here (a Loose Tongue Jut), indicates she is being deceptive. She does not believe her own statement(s) - before or after/during her Loose Tongue Jut:

More specifically, Kellyanne Conway is lying when she said:

• "... He also admitted Ω that he as FBI director - injected partisan politics ..."
(e.g., She believes James Comey did not admit this, or she believes he did not inject partisan politics into the 2016 election)

and/or with her prior statement:

• " 'This guy swung an election? I [feigned stammering] don't think so!' "
(That is, she DOES, in fact, believe that James Comey affected the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election).
