Leon Panetta, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, is being asked a question by Wolf Blitzer regarding some of the U.S. Military misbehavior in Afghanistan in this video. During the entire length of this clip (with the exception of the 0:25 - 0:26 time marks, in which the entire width of his forehead is involved), Panetta's central forehead is contracted and heavily furrowed - while it's lateral aspects are relaxed. This particular body language signal is highly consistent with physical or emotional pain. Such pain may be experienced directly or indirectly via empathy. The Defense Secretary feels deep and sincere emotional pain regarding these events.
