The 2013 Golden Globe Awards were held today in Hollywood - and beautiful people were everywhere. But the carpet was not the only thing that was red. Claire Danes (pictured above, who won best performance in a television series - drama, for the second consecutive year for her role as Carrie Mathison in "Homeland"), Jennifer Lawrence and Zooey Deschanel all looked stunning in their red gowns.
Multitudes of research have demonstrated that when women wear red, they are perceived as more physically attractive. Men, on average, also tend to believe that women wearing red will be more receptive to their sexual advances (all else being equal when compared with other colors). Thus it comes as no surprise that men also believe that women who they believe will respond to their sexual advances - are also thought to be more attractive by these same men.
Intriguingly, many studies also indicate that when wear red, they tend to be more interested in sexual encounters.
