Last night at the 2015 Grammy Awards, Kanye West took the stage once again without invitation. When Beck was awarded the Album of the Year West walked on stage - then quickly left - giving everyone a flashback from the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when West interrupted Taylor Swift's award acceptance.
Many tried to pass this off as some type of an attempt at humor. It was nothing of the sort.
Afterwards West said, “Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé.” as well as, “Y’all know what it meant when‘Ye walked on the stage.”
The image below shows Kanye West's as he walked off stage. Beck can be seen in the background. West's expression is classic for the emotion of disgust. Both disgust and contempt, when displayed chronically (as Kanye does), are signals of those with poor impulse control. Furthermore, people who very often show these facial nonverbals have a significant tendency towards physical action and violence rather using dialog and diplomacy to solve disagreements. In addition these individuals have a preponderance towards Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
