Body Language Analysis No. 4308: DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen's most Telling Expression - Nonverbal and Emotional Intelligence (PHOTOS)

During her press briefing today, one of the most common non-neutral facial expressions displayed by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was that of Disgust. Why? Largely because she was in a near constant state of emotional dissonance. Her job description requires her to be the mouthpiece of the President and his policies - and yet a significant portion of her psyche is protesting.

Secretary Nielsen's most telling disgust display of all was captured in the above moment (close up below) as she walked away from the lectern at the end of her briefing (photo credit - Alex Wong).

SUMMARY: DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen repeatedly displayed sincere disgust during her press briefing on Monday. She's having significant difficulty bottling-up her feelings - and this is, in part, a leakage - a manifestation of her emotional dissonance. She feels trapped. It's highly likely that DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen will soon resign.
