Nonverbal Communication Analysis No. 3650: Donald Trump: "Although the Second Amendment people maybe there is, I dunno" - Veiled Threats & Body Language Tells (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Today Donald Trump made what some feel is a call for violence and/or insurrection against Hillary Clinton. Trump's campaign staff has maintained he was making a call to action of the strong and well-organized Second Amendment advocates to defeat Clinton in the election with the power of their votes.

In the video above, beginning at 0:41, Mr. Trump says, "Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish - the Second Amendment, by the way and if she gets to pick - [Loose Tongue Jut followed immediately with Lower Lip Retraction/Anticipation] if she gets to pick her judges - nothin' you can do folks. Although the second Amendment people maybe there is, I dunno - but - but I'll tell ya what ..."

During 0:49 Trump displays a "Loose Tongue Jut". This type of tongue jut is an indication of the emotions "I've been bad" or "I've been caught" (or about to be bad/caught).

Immediately after this, during 0:49 - 0:50, Donald Trump follows his loose tongue just with a "Lower Lip Retraction" aka "Lower Lip Anticipation". As its name this implies, this nonverbal signifies an emotional tone of anticipatory excitement.

This facial expression cluster is a demonstration of the Republican Presidential Candidate's intention to say something which, in his own judgment, crosses the line - and moreover he's excited about doing so.

In an effort to be both practical and academic, many examples from/of varied cultures, politicians, professional athletes, legal cases, public figures, etc., are cited in order to teach and illustrate both the interpretation of others’ body language as well as the projection of one’s own nonverbal skills in many different contexts – not to advance any political, religious or other agenda.
