Nonverbal Communication Analysis No. 3708: Hillary Clinton v. Donald Trump - Presidential Debates - Part IV - Hillary's Email Anxiety - Body Language & Emotional Intelligence (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

By most accounts Secretary Clinton did fairly well in the first of the three scheduled Presidential debates earlier this week. This is also true when we limit the conversation solely to her body language performance. She did, however, have some chinks in her nonverbal armor.

When Donald Trump began talking about Hillary Clinton's emails, her blinking frequency dramatically increased (versus her baseline rate). The duration of each blink was also prolonged. This can be clearly seen in the above video.

Not surprisingly, these changes in blinking behavior are accurate barometers of anxiety. Indeed, this was Hillary Clinton's most nervous moment of this debate.
